This
does not live up to the Cuisinart name. Do NOT buy this. It is not
easy to clean as the Grip brand rotates so you can get to the blades to
clean them. I am throwing this away as the date to return has expired
and with my move I did not have time to use it until now. I am throwing
it out because I fear that in trying to clean it I will injure myself.
DO NOT buy this.
We
had a chopper for smaller amounts (e.g., a clove or two of garlic) that
worked wonderfully in connection with hand blender. Then the company
inexplicably changed the product and the replacement - and all others we
have tried since - seem to have been designed by people who never use
them, with ribs that do nothing but make it harder to get things out,
etc. This chopper is a winner, no electricity required, no ribs so easy
to get chopped food out, easy to assemble, and to disassemble for
dishwasher - we love it!
his
is the second time we have purchased this product from Amazon, and the
second time it has failed. Unfortunately we are beyond the warranty. We
purchased it in June and cannot return it in August. The primary failure
both times is that it does not pivot when chopping. We purchased one
several years ago that lasted multiple years. It’s unfortunate that this
product is a bad replica of our original purchase
We
used to have a pampered chef version of this chopper. When it finally
broke I figured they were probably all the same and ordered this
product. I was disappointed as it took so much more effort to get the
same consistency of finished product. We use this for a back up and have
since purchase the pampered chef version again. I suggest you do the
same.
I
had another brand of a product similar to this; it was satisfactory.
The Cuisinart version, however, is far superior. This one works really
well just chopping on a board. Cuts are even and it makes quite quick
work of onions, garlic, even celery. As for cleaning - easy peasy. I
disassemble and put it in the dishwasher.
This
was truly a waste of $ and I was unable to return it because I threw
away the packing. I have tried to make it work but the blades fall out
constantly, they cut very little and aren't at all sharp as the
advertisement suggests and when I push down, it comes down ridiculously
slow. I am going to buy an electric one which is probably what I should
have done from the beginning!
Love
the sleek look, but after just a few uses, the blades no longer turn. I
did not live up to its end of the bargain. Bummer. Guess that is why
there is such a high percentage of negative reviews. I'd rather have
ugly that works then sleek in the garbage.
I
was at a girlfriends house for a cooking party. The chef there used a
name brand chopper to prepare the meals we ate and I really wanted it
but didn't want to pay $40!!! I decided to search on good old amazing
and up popped the Cuisinart chopper. Well naturally the day it arrived I
went on a chopping spree!!! I chopped garlic, carrots, onions and
celery. All of them chopped with ease. My daughter actually helped me
chop and prepare diner twice since I recieved it!!! She loves to use the
chopper and I love that she's helping me! You can chop with or without
out the platform on. I like to chop without the platform I just chop on
my cutting board and it's only e less thing to clean. For the price you
can't get any better!
